How the Mines multiplier is calculated
The grid has N = 25 tiles. With m mines, after you reveal k safe tiles the fair multiplier is the product of (N − i) ÷ (N − m − i) for i = 0 … k − 1. SatoshiMines then applies a flat 1% house edge, so your shown multiplier is that fair value multiplied by 0.99.
The win chance of reaching a given step is simply the reciprocal of the fair multiplier: more mines, or more tiles revealed, means a bigger multiplier but a smaller chance of getting there.
