Frequently asked questions

What is the Mines game?

Mines is a simple Bitcoin game played on a 5×5 grid of 25 tiles. A handful of tiles hide mines; the rest are safe. You choose how many mines to hide, then flip tiles one at a time. Every safe tile you reveal raises your multiplier, and you can cash out for your current payout at any moment. Hit a mine and the round ends.

Is SatoshiMines fair?

Yes. Mine positions are chosen with a cryptographically secure random generator the instant a round starts — before you touch a single tile — so your picks can never change where the mines are. Payouts follow a published multiplier formula with a flat, transparent 1% house edge, the same on every round.

How are the multipliers calculated?

After you reveal k safe tiles on a grid of N=25 tiles with m mines, the multiplier is (1 − 0.01) × the product of (N − i) ÷ (N − m − i) for i from 0 to k−1. Fewer tiles left and more mines on the board mean each safe tile is riskier, so the multiplier climbs faster.

How much does it cost to play?

You set your own bet for each round, anywhere from the minimum shown in the game up to the table maximum. Your bet is deducted when the round starts and your payout is credited the moment you cash out.

What is the minimum deposit and withdrawal?

Deposits are made in Bitcoin (BTC); the live minimum is shown on the Wallet page at the time you create a deposit. Withdrawals have their own minimum, also displayed in the withdraw form, and are paid out on-chain to the address you provide.

How fast are withdrawals?

When you request a withdrawal your balance is debited immediately and the payout is sent on-chain. On-chain confirmation time then depends on the Bitcoin network. You can cancel a pending withdrawal to have the amount refunded to your balance.

Do I get anything for signing up?

New accounts start with free starter credits so you can try the game right away, and an in-app faucet lets you top up a small share of your balance over time. You can sign up with email or a social login in seconds.

Can I play Mines for free?

Yes. Every new account starts with free starter credits and an in-app faucet, so you can play the Mines game and try out different mine counts and strategies before you ever deposit Bitcoin. It works as a free Mines demo to learn the multipliers and odds risk-free.

Is SatoshiMines like the Stake or Roobet Mines game?

It's the same classic Mines game you'll know from sites like Stake, Roobet, BC.Game and Gamdom — a 5×5 grid where you dodge hidden mines and cash out before you bust — played with Bitcoin and provably fair, with a flat, transparent 1% house edge. The multiplier and odds follow the same math, so a Mines calculator built for any of those sites works here too.

Can I set limits or take a break?

Yes. SatoshiMines includes responsible-gaming controls, including self-exclusion, so you can take a break from play whenever you choose. Please only play with funds you can afford to lose.
